Marcelo Bielsa has admitted – in comments reported by Leeds Live – that he is not confident that Leeds United will have Patrick Bamford and Raphinha available for Wednesday’s clash with Everton.

Leeds go into the game off the back of one of their best performances of the season at the weekend. They beat Leicester 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.

The game was not without its downsides for Leeds however. Rodrigo Moreno had to be taken off early on, while Raphinha was replaced during the second-half.

Meanwhile, Bamford seemed to be struggling as the full-time whistle blew.

In his press conference, Bielsa was asked about the trio. He initially said that the injuries of Bamford and Raphinha were less worrying than the problem Rodrigo had.

But he stopped short of suggesting the pair would definitely be available for their next game when asked how confident he was that they would be back.

“No, it means two days prior to a game you can’t be sure that any player is going to be available for a game,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live.

“The only thing to add is that the problem Rodrigo has to overcome to be available on Wednesday is bigger. The problems that Raphinha and Bamford have to overcome are more simple.”

It would be a huge blow for Leeds to be without Raphinha or Bamford. Bamford has obviously scored 11 goals in the league this season.

Raphinha meanwhile, has been a revelation since arriving in the Premier League. BBC Sport reported that he cost just £17 million in the summer. And at the moment, that fee is looking like an incredible bargain.

So Everton will certainly be a lot more optimistic if they are presented with a team sheet that makes no mention of either Raphinha or Bamford, along with Rodrigo.
