Marcelo Bielsa has been quoted by Leeds Live following his pre-Salford City press conference that new Leeds United signing Eddie Nketiah is a very “complex player”.
Nketiah, 20, joined Leeds on loan from Arsenal in one of two deadline-day signings made by the Whites. The club also confirmed the capture of Illan Meslier from Lorient, with the French side stating it a is loan-to-buy deal.
The England Under-21 international brings enormous pedigree to Elland Road. The striker has scored 28 goals in 38 reserve games for Arsenal, and three in 19 senior appearances for the Gunners. He featured heavily in pre-season.
Nketiah was not a part of the Leeds side that drew with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but he is expected to feature against Salford City on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup. Bielsa gave his feedback from the first two days of training.

“All the minutes that he had in the Arsenal and national teams, we could watch these minutes. Then I have an idea about the skills and capabilities of the player,” Nketiah said.
“In these two days when we’re working with him it’s very easy to show in training what he’s showing in the games. He’s a complex player because he has a lot of capabilities.”
TBR’s view – Bamford’s display make fast track Nketiah debut
Leeds lacked a goalscorer with confidence on Saturday. Despite utter domination, the Whites only secured a point despite having many chances to find the back of the net.
Patrick Bamford was guilty of missing many of those. He really should have scored when hitting the crossbar, while a long ball from Ben White put him through on goal but he took a touch too much. He missed a chip too.
Having Nketiah in the side instead of Bamford may finally give Leeds the goalscoring touch they are lacking, and fast tracking him into the side against Salford on Tuesday should be executed by Bielsa.
