Leeds United could be on their way to the Premier League this season. With nine games remaining, they sit in second spot – two points off top-place Norwich City and two points ahead of third-place Sheffield United.
Marcelo Bielsa’s sole focus will be on delivering promotion but once that is achieved, he can start thinking about potential summer additions.
Leeds will need to add some players to their squad to cope with the demands of the Premier League, if they go up.
And recently-linked Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Iturraspe would be the ideal candidate to bolster their squad. According to AS via Sport Witness, Iturraspe is a summer target for the Whites.

Marcelo Bielsa knows the 30-year-old well, having spent time together at Bilbao. And a reunion could be on the cards because Iturraspe’s contract expires this summer.
The twice-capped former Spain international is the ideal squad addition; he adds plenty of experience, having played over 300 games for Bilbao and well over 200 in La Liga.
Kalvin Phillips will hard to oust out of the team but Iturraspe’s addition would ensure that competition remains healthy in the Leeds midfield.
If Iturraspe can quickly adjust to English football, he could form a solid holding midfield partnership with Phillips to help Bielsa’s men thrive in the top flight.
