Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe has been a revelation in the 2018/19 season so far and has finally found his best position through the middle.
Marcelo Bielsa has opted to deploy him at the point of attack and that has seen him score eight league goals already, which is just three short of last season where he mainly played on the wing.
He is a pacy striker that looks extremely comfortable in a settled position and offers so much with his work-rate, while his finishing appears to be improving too.
Bielsa would be foolish now to chop and change him between attacking positions, something that can unsettle a player and ruin their form.
There is certainly a temptation to play on his versatility due to the club’s lack of quality options in wide areas and also the fact that centre-forward Patrick Bamford is available again at the weekend against QPR at Elland Road.

But Roofe is spearheading Leeds push for promotion this season and has to be kept in a central area where he is most effective.
Bamford will return to provide some senior cover at striker, while Welsh youngster Tyler Roberts remains another decent option.
Roofe is on course to push for the 20-goal mark at his current rate and Bielsa should encourage him to continue on that path, rather than hinder it with a change of positions.
