Marc Roca has told BBC Radio Leeds that Tyler Adams is an incredible player and feels that their partnership at the heart of the Leeds United midfield is improving every day.

Roca and Adams are both key players for the Whites following their arrivals at Elland Road in the summer. Of course, they arrived in the same summer in which Leeds sold Kalvin Phillips.

Replacing Phillips was always an issue for Marcelo Bielsa during his tenure. So many would have worried for Leeds following his permanent exit.

However, Jesse Marsch has adopted a slightly different system. And with that, Roca and Adams have started both of the Premier League games so far sat in front of the back four.

The pair have shone at various stages. Roca was one of Leeds’ best players in pre-season. And there have been glimpses of his quality in the opening two fixtures.

Adams meanwhile, looks to be an incredibly smart signing. He reads the game extremely well and he seems to rarely give away possession. And he has certainly made a big impression on his new teammate.

Roca was full of praise for the USMNT international. And he suggested that they are growing as a pairing.

“I’m feeling very good, very comfortable with him. I think he is an incredible player,” he told BBC Radio Leeds. “I think the connection we have is very good.

“When I’m going, when I’m pressing, he is behind me, looking for what could happen. For me as well, I think the relationship is very good. Every day we understand each other better and I think we are helping the team.”

Tyler Adams is an incredible player

Roca was arguably the midfield signing Leeds fans were more excited about this summer. Obviously, he arrived from Bayern Munich. And he is a player Julian Nagelsmann has previously raved about.

It is probably fair to say that Leeds are yet to really see the best of Roca.

Adams meanwhile, has shown how important he could be for Leeds. He is probably never going to be the player who steals the show. But he is going to do an incredibly crucial job for Marsch’s side.
