Mane responds to Mo Salah's Instagram post after Liverpool exit
Sadio Mane has responded to Mo Salah after the Liverpool forward sent a goodbye message to the Senegal international on Instagram following his £35 million move to Bayern Munich.
Mane’s long-awaited move to Bavaria was announced on Wednesday. BBC Sport reports that Mane has signed a three-year deal with the Bundesliga giants.
Liverpool will receive just over £27 million up front, with the rest being made up in potential add-ons. The move brings an end to a hugely successful spell at Anfield.
In total, he scored 120 goals for the Reds, while he also provided 48 assists. And obviously, he more than played his part in one of the greatest forward lines Liverpool have seen.
Salah can arguably thank Mane for much of his own success on Merseyside. Along with Roberto Firmino, the pair have been absolutely devastating for a number of years.
There were almost seen as rivals, even as teammates. The high-profile clashes between their respective countries since the turn of the year certainly did little to dampen that idea.
But clearly, there was a huge amount of respect between the pair. And following Mane’s move, Salah sent a message to the forward on Instagram.
Salah insisted that Mane would be missed by everyone on Merseyside. He also thanked the 30-year-old for everything that he had done for him.
And Mane sent a classy message in response to Salah’s post…

In time, many will reflect on Liverpool’s front three of Mane, Salah and Firmino as being the best front three the Premier League has seen – if they do not already.
In some ways, it is good to see Mane move on when he has. He left while at something like the top of his game. Liverpool fans have not had to watch the former Southampton man really phased out.
But it is disappointing to see him go. As Salah suggests, Liverpool have plenty to thank the forward for.
