Liverpool remain four points ahead of Manchester City in the race for the Premier league title.
The Reds are in excellent shape having taken 60 points from 23 games.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are just two points worse off than the record-breaking Citizens were at the same stage last season, which is a huge indicator as to how well they’ve done.
There’s a chance that the race could go right down to the wire though, and Klopp needs all of his big-hitters to bring their A-games every single weekend.
Liverpool’s talisman is obviously Mo Salah, who has stolen headlines again this term for his goalscoring expolits (16 Premier League goals so far).
But one thing that could have major bearing on the destination of the title is the form of Sadio Mane.
Mane must rediscover consistency
Mane flew out of the traps this season for Liverpool by scoring four in his first four games.
The Senegalese speedster was clinical in front of goal, and at one stage it looked as though he might have outshone Salah this term.
In recent weeks though, the wasteful Mane has gone off the boil a little.
His goal return of three goals in his last 13 games is not sparkling, and his overall league assist tally of just two is downright disappointing for a winger of his quality.
Roberto Firmino started slowly but has now come into his own, having scored seven in his last 13.
Mane, a £34 million signing from Southampton (BBC Sport), needs to start sharpening up again in front of goal. He bagged against Crystal Palace on Saturday and should take confidence from that.
He remains a top class player on his day, and if Liverpool can have all three of their forwards firing until the end of the season, then a first Premier League title could well be on the way.
