Manchester United defender Diego Dalot is reportedly fighting for his future at Old Trafford with Jose Mourinho tempted to bring him to Tottenham Hotspur – and United supporters are happy to see him leave.

The Sun have claimed that Manchester United are open to selling the right-back, with Manchester United willing to accept offers of around £35million for the Portuguese ace. He cost United just £19million (BBC) in the summer of 2018.

The report claims that United are expected to place their faith in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to raise funds in the upcoming window, they will be open to selling Dalot – who was initially signed by Mourinho.

It comes as little surprise, then, that the report claims Mourinho would be open to taking Dalot to Tottenham – with Serge Aurier constantly criticised by pundits and Spurs supporters alike for his unreliable performances at right-back.

Despite coming to the end of his second season at United, Dalot has only played 33 times for Solskjaer’s men. Certainly, Wan-Bissaka has come in and been a vast improvement on the six-time Portugal Under-21 international.

Manchester United supporters have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that their club are open to selling Dalot with Tottenham tempted to form a reunion between the defender and Mourinho – and many are open to a sale.
