Manchester United will now surely look to move for Jack Grealish with James Maddison expected to sign a new contract with Leicester City.

United have been strongly linked with a move for both Grealish and Maddison in recent months. The midfield pair have impressed this season and both could be in line for an England place come the Euros.
However, a report from the Leicester Mercury this weekend has claimed United now expect Maddison to sign a new deal.
So, with Maddison now seemingly out of reach for the Red Devils, the door is surely now ajar for them to move for Grealish instead.
The time is now to strike for United with Grealish
If Maddison is indeed going to sign a new deal, then United should move on quickly.
There’s little point in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pinning his hopes on Maddison if a new deal is on the table. However, United won’t want to stand still, meaning the pursuit of Grealish could now step up.

Grealish has been in fine form for Aston Villa this season, too. Indeed, there is a consensus that if it hadn’t been for Grealish, Villa may already be relegated.
Of course, relegation is still very much a possibility for the Villans. They sit perilously close to dropping back to the Championship and will need a big run of results if the Premier League season resumes.
Thoughts of Grealish and Fernandes should excite United fans
With Bruno Fernandes being so impressive since making the move to United, the thought of him and Grealish pulling the strings in midfield should excite fans at Old Trafford.
Fernandes has breathed new life into the squad at United. Signing Grealish and making a big summer statement would surely have a similar impact on proceedings.
Grealish has fired in seven goals and contributed six assists this season. At just 24, he should be coming into the prime of his career over the next few seasons.
There hasn’t even been a better time, then, for Manchester United to make their move.
