Manchester United round-up: Griezmann rates chance of move; defender up for sale; Everton star monitored

Antoine Griezmann has for the first time directly hinted at a move to Manchester United, as the Guardian quote him as having told French programme Quotidien that the chances of him joining the Red Devils this summer are as high as six out of ten. Conversely, Spanish newspaper Marca highlight that he rated his chances of staying at Atletico Madrid as seven out of ten.

The bizarre revelations from the Frenchman have only added fuel to the fire over a rumoured move, with Jose Mourinho thought to be keen to bring the left sided forward to Old Trafford as part of a new look front three, with more pace and skill on the ball. A move could depend on whether, or not, United win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League.

Another man whose future is up in the air is defender Chris Smalling as the Daily Star report that the England international has disappointed Jose Mourinho in the past few months, despite making a good first impression, with the boss so unimpressed that he could put the centre-back up for sale.

Smalling is thought to be an injury doubt for the Europa League final on Wednesday night and could miss out after seeing the second half of his season ravaged by injury since picking up a foot problem whilst on international duty with England back in March. Now, it seems that the injury could have cost him his United career.

Elsewhere, the Mirror believe that another addition could be Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, as his contract talks with the Toffees continue to stall, causing Ronald Koeman to grow frustrated at the lack of progress. The report suggests United and Tottenham are both thought to be monitoring the situation and could make a move.

With just one year left on his contract at Goodison Park, the 23-year-old could be on his way out for a bargain price this summer, after scoring six goals and registering nine assists in 39 games this season.
