Agent Mino Raiola could be preparing to cash in on yet another deal taking a player to Manchester, with AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma the latest of his players to be linked, with Metro quoting Raiola as saying:
“Is he staying in Milan? I have not heard anything from the new Milan, for me Milan is represented by [Adriano] Galliani so I have nothing to talk about with the new Milan… I have to look to the future and its possibilities, then the choice is made by the players themselves… Until you see the new ownership and I begin to talk to them I cannot have a clear idea. Does he deserve a great Milan? No, he deserves a great team. I’m not married to anyone, my job is not to be a fan of a team.”
The 18-year-old is believed to be seen as a potential replacement for David de Gea should he be tempted away by the interest of Real Madrid and would certainly be one of the most attractive long-term options for the club.
However, there is bad news too as a potential summer move for Virgil Van Dijk seems to be off the cards as Southampton CEO Ralph Kreuger told TalkSPORT:
“Virgil is committed to us for a long time and we don’t see anything but that in our future. We will be sitting together in a few weeks to look at our summer transfer window and what the plans are. At the moment, Virgil is very committed to us. He is our team captain and we see him in our red and white stripes.”
The Dutchman was believed to be one of few experienced Premier League options being considered by Jose Mourinho in his attempts to bolster his defence ahead of the next Premier League season.
He may add at full-back though as TalkSPORT believe that the Red Devils could make a move to challenge West Ham in their pursuit of Saint Etienne defender Kevin Malcuit after the right back impressed for the French club in the Europa League.
The 25-year-old, who played in both legs of the clash between the club’s and can also play in midfield, may be unlikely to become a regular first choice for United, but may represent a makeshift replacement for the ageing Antonio Valencia.
