Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Manchester United have until the end of this week to seal a deal worth €50 million (£44 million) for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic. The Croatian has been linked with the club since the end of the season but a move has not yet materialised and it seems that the San Siro club may finally have grown impatient.
Perisic could be a threatening addition for the Red Devils given his outstanding track record in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and now in Serie A with Inter. However, the club may have to act quickly to agree terms and get a move agreed before Luciano Spalleti and co. pull the plug on any agreement over a fee.
In another transfer blow, it seems that United could be set to miss out on Monaco right-back turned holding midfielder Fabinho. The Daily Record report that the Brazilian is also in talks with Paris Saint-Germain and is at a far more advanced stage with the Ligue Un giants over a potentially controversial move.
Fabinho is not thought to have been one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets this summer but it could still be a concern for Ed Woodward on missing out on the star. Potentially identified as a long term replacement for Antonio Valencia, his price tag at PSG would likely be too high to make him an option.[interaction id=”5953e3934649b4e34eadda0d”]
A higher priority this summer is to add a striker to the squad, and Italian newspaper Tuttosport believe that Manchester United have renewed their interest in prolific Torino forward Andrea Belotti.
The reports indicate that an offer in the region of €70 million (£62 million) has been submitted for the 23-year-old who scored 28 goals in 38 games last season. However, it may just be a ploy in order to speed up a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata as a potential deal with the Spaniard is still yet to be confirmed.
