Manchester United reportedly rejected Moise Kean before Everton closed in

Juventus hitman Moise Kean was offered to Manchester United, who turned him down, before negotiations began with Everton, according to 90Min.

They report that Kean’s agent Mino Raiola offered the teenage forward to United, who neglected the opportunity, paving the way for Everton to swoop.

The Telegraph report that Kean is set to move to Goodison Park within 24 hours in a deal worth £30 million, as he heads to Everton today (Friday) for a medical.

That report also says that Juventus had hoped to tie him down but Raiola and the player obviously had other ideas, trying to get a move to the Premier League this summer.

Raiola is becoming one of the most notorious agents around for trying to get his players big-money moves and it’s not especially surprising that he tried to offer Kean to United, who he has done business with before.

Whether he has his clients’ best interests at heart is another matter – Everton may not be concerned now, because they are getting in one of Europe’s hottest young attackers.

But if he is a success, it’s a near guarantee that Raiola will be offering Kean around Europe looking for a bumper pay-day once more – but that’s an issue for another day.
