After Anthony Martial attracted interest from La Liga’s second placed team Sevilla earlier on in the month, the Sun claim that they have now made an approach to Manchester United for Marcus Rashford with the 19-year-old growing frustrated at his lack of first team football with just eight Premier League starts after 20 games.

Jose Mourinho is unlikely to be keen to allow the starlet to leave as he is seen as one of the key back-ups to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, even if he has seen his game time restricted so far this season. If Rashford does want to leave, he may have to force the move.

However, Mourinho may be the one pushing for another move as he targets Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic as a replacement for the outgoing Morgan Schneiderlin and the ageing Michael Carrick, claim the Mirror. The Serbian is open to the idea of a reunion with his former boss and Chelsea are already said to be reeling from the prospect of losing Diego Costa.

Matic may not come cheap if Chelsea agree to sell him at all, but with £22 million already in the bank from the sale of Schneiderlin then a move could certainly be possible.

Diego Costa may not be the only man in demand in China though, as the Sun say that Chinese Super League team Shandong Luneng are preparing a move for Ashley Young as the former England international enters the last 18 months of his contract having made just nine appearances this season.

The 31-year-old could be tempted by the massive money on offer in China and is said to be considering an exit as he is restricted to a back up role at Old Trafford under Mourinho this season, largely playing in a more defensive role than he has for much of his career.
