Ineffectual after being introduced, his crosses into the box were poor and he didn’t get at the Arsenal defence as Jose Mourinho may have been expecting when he introduced the England international.

A surprise that he was introduced so early, he had a frustrating afternoon and didn’t seem to giving his all. His pace alone was not enough to cause problems, even if he did unnerve the Gunners’ defence when he ran at their full-backs.

A clear indication from Mourinho that he had surrendered, it will have been a good experience for his first team debut.
