Henrikh Mkhitaryan – 5

Like in the reverse fixture, he struggled from the get go. Easily dispossessed, he was weak on the ball and easily pushed around by the City defence. Could have done better to pounce when Claudio Bravo let Anthony Martial’s shot slip.

Marcus Rashford – 6

Gave Nicolas Otamendi the run around but failed to really take advantage of that, he never really looked like scoring and just couldn’t convert his dominance of the central defender into opportunities or shots, and when he did he didn’t have his shooting boots on.

Anthony Martial – 6

His pace was a massive threat against Pablo Zabaleta but United didn’t exploit that opportunity enough, with the Frenchman lacking service on the left. Defended well and contributed to the cause by tracking back more as the game went on.
