Antonio Valencia (for Shaw, 9) – 6

Did the job well to fill in for Luke Shaw but was clearly lacking in energy after playing so often of late. Did well considering the circumstances.

Matteo Darmian (for Bailly, 61) – 6

Like Valencia, was probably not expecting to play a part. He filled in well and saw the game out with some good defending even if he couldn’t muster much going forwards.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (for Rooney, 80) – 6

Added pace and energy up-front but little real attacking threat as he lacked quality in the final third as Swansea put everyone behind the ball.
