Manchester United suffered a major blow in their hopes for a top four finish as they were held to a 14th draw of the season, more than any other side in the top five European leagues.
Marcus Rashford provided the spark to give United the lead just before half-time after a tense first half of few chances ended with a controversial penalty, coolly converted by Wayne Rooney on his return to the side.
However, the Swans fought back and equalised in the second half through a magnificent free-kick from Gylfi Sigurdsson which forced the Red Devils to settle for a point as they failed to turn possession and opportunities into goals with a lack of attacking threat a problem once again.

Nothing he could do about Sigurdsson’s equaliser, he was crucial in the opening 20 minutes when Swansea really applied the pressure, though he had less to do as the game went on.
