Borja Mayoral is said to have caught Manchester United’s eye after his brilliant performances for Getafe this season.
The Red Devils, like most other clubs, have had a really quiet transfer window so far. Nothing is expected to change on deadline day today, but Dean Jones has claimed that Mayoral, who can be signed for a bargain fee, has impressed Manchester United officials.

Borja Mayoral has caught Manchester United’s eye
Manchester United sent Mason Greenwood on loan to Getafe in the summer.
The Red Devils have sent their officials to Spain to watch the 22-year-old in action on numerous occasions, and that’s when Borja Mayoral caught their eye.
The Spaniard is the top scorer in La Liga this season, netting 14 goals in 21 appearances. He is having a fine season and was even recently linked with a move to Arsenal.
Journalist Dean Jones has now claimed that the Gunners links were wide off the mark, but Mayoral has indeed caught Manchester United’s eye.
Today, on transfer deadline day, in case Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his attack following Anthony Martial’s injury, Mayoral could become a bargain option.

The Getafe striker is said to be valued at just £12 million.
Jones wrote on GiveMeSport: “Borja Mayoral has caught the eye of Manchester United this season. He plays in the same Getafe side as Mason Greenwood and has impressed officials who have been keeping tabs on Greenwood in Spain.
“Mayoral’s style is a decent fit for United as they consider alternative striker options and his valuation is low – with estimates around the £12 million mark.
“Arsenal were linked with him earlier in the window but those reports are wide of the mark as the Gunners have not seriously scouted him since 2019.”
Mayoral, who joined Getafe from Real Madrid 18 months ago, is tied down to a contract that does not expire until the end of the 2026/27 season.
For just £12 million, he could prove to be a very good addition for Manchester United.
