Chris Smalling could be on his way out of Manchester United during the summer with Arsenal and Roma reportedly leading the chase for his signature.

It would seem that according to Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners have tabled a £25 million bid for the centre-back.

Smalling has revived his career at Roma, however, and might favour a permanent switch to the Serie A outfit.

During the Premier League-era Arsenal have developed a fierce rivalry with Manchester United.

It would seem that some supporters want the Red Devils to be savvy when it comes to dealing with any bid for Smalling.

Many predict that Smalling will be sold but plenty of supporters think they should hold Arsenal for more than £25 million.

The 30-year-old has proved a loyal servant to United over the years. He has played 323 games for the club since signing from Fulham for £7 million in 2010.

Smalling is on £70,000-a-week at United and it seems unlikely that the will play for the Red Devils again.

Following news that Arsenal are in the mix for his signature, here is a selection of tweets from United fans.
