A number of Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Sunday People (16/2; page 55) suggesting that the club want Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks this summer.
Winks has enjoyed a promising season with Spurs. The 24-year-old has made 21 appearances in the Premier League this term, including 17 starts.

And he has arguably kicked on under Jose Mourinho. However, it appears that the Portuguese’s former club are looking at making a move this summer.
The Sunday People (16/2; page 55) claimed at the weekend that the Spurs academy graduate is one of United’s top targets for the summer.

It is suggested that Winks is rated at £40 million, though Mourinho is said to be reluctant to lose the midfielder.
It looks as though some United fans may be relieved to hear that Mourinho is set to block his exit. Some are clearly underwhelmed by the links and believe that he would not be a worthwhile addition.
However, others are much more excited about the prospect of targeting Winks. They have suggested that he would be an upgrade on a number of their players.
Given the strength of Winks’s connection with Tottenham, it would be a big surprise to see him go anywhere this summer.
So it would be a really huge shock if he ended up moving to Old Trafford of all places.
