Aston Villa star Jack Grealish is reportedly a target for Manchester United – and some of United’s supporters on Twitter are extremely delighted about the speculation.
The Mirror reports that United could make a “huge summer bid” for the Villa captain when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season.
It is explained that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have turned their attention away from Leicester City’s James Maddison, as he’s set to pen a new deal at the King Power Stadium.
The report claims that the Red Devils are now set to focus on Grealish by prioritising him in the summer, but know there will be competition for him elsewhere.
The 24-year-old is expected to be sold by Villa if they are relegated from the Premier League, but even if they avoid the drop summer bids are likely to arrive for him.
Villa rely so heavily on Grealish on the pitch and he’s been the most consistent performer for Dean Smith’s side this campaign.
He’s a skilful attacking midfielder that can dictate play from the centre, but has found a lot of success on the left flank too by cutting inside with his pace, dribbling and eye for goal.
The English playmaker has been directly involved in 16 goals in just 27 matches across all competitions this term.

A selection of United supporters on social media believe that Grealish would be a major success if he ends up at Old Trafford and suggest he’s a better target than Maddison.
The West Midlands club should enjoy their influential star while they still can and his goal output is going to be crucial in keeping them in the Premier League.
He does deserve a move to an elite club in the summer, but it’s still up for grabs on what kind of European football United may be able to offer him.
