Manchester United set up a fourth-round FA Cup date with either Watford or Tranmere Rovers after beating Wolves 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Juan Mata scored the only goal of the contest, firing home in the 67th minute to settle a pretty drab cup tie.
Wolves never really got going. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were playing their 38th game of an exhausting season and it showed.

For large parts, they looked lethargic and jaded, with Manchester United proving worthy winners in the end.
One man who was instrumental for United was young defender Brandon Williams. Although the two games against Wolves were poor, the teenager stifled the threat of Adama Traore not once but twice.
The 19-year-old looks like being the next young talent out of the United academy to make a real impact on the first-team.
Last night he showed tremendous strength and maturity to keep Traore at bay and he looks set for a bright future.
United fans were quick to take to Twitter to speak of the youngster’s display. They were blown away by his latest showing and surely international honours will beckon at some point.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has used him sporadically so far but he looks destined to be a first-team regular eventually.
Here is a selection of tweets regarding the performance of Wiliams against Wolves:
