Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing free agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Jose Mourinho was appointed manager of the north London club – and Manchester United fans have reacted on Twitter.
Ibrahimovic, 38, is a free agent after the 2019 MLS campaign came to an end. His contract with LA Galaxy expired and is now looking for pastures new, after scoring 31 goals in 31 games during the last season – as well as laying on eight assists.
The Telegraph claim Spurs are considering a move for the veteran striker. Spurs are without a back-up striker, after Fernando Llorente left the club on a free to join Napoli while Vincent Janssen made the surprise move to Mexico with Monterrey.

Mourinho signed Ibrahimovic in the summer of 2016 and he went on to score 29 goals in 53 games for United – as well as laying on 10 asissts. A long-term injury saw him spend a considerable amount of time on the sidelines, though.
Now available on a free and still obviously in excellent goalscoring form, Spurs are said to be keen on bringing Ibrahimovic to north London and form a reunion with Mourinho – as the Portuguese gaffer looks to add firepower up front.
Manchester United fans loved Ibrahimovic during his time at Old Trafford but many have reacted in hilarious fashion to the reported news that Tottenham could reportedly sign the Swedish attacker.
