Newcastle United are reportedly keen on taking Manchester United defender Brandon Williams on loan in January after the England Under-21 star dropped down the pecking order – and United fans have reacted on Twitter.
Williams, 20, broke into the Manchester United side last season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and clocked up 36 appearances in all competitions – even becoming first choice for Solskjaer on occasion.
However, this season it has been a different story for Williams. The summer signing of Alex Telles has limited Williams to just four outings – two of which have been from the bench. He has even played for the Under-23 side.

The Chronicle claim that Newcastle are taking a look at Williams, who the Mirror claim signed a huge £40,000-a-week contract last season. It is believed Newcastle only want to sign the left-back on loan, without a buy option.
The Toon did sign Jamal Lewis from Norwich City in the summer but have little competition for the Northern Ireland ace, with Paul Dummett either injured or struggling to provide the quality needed in the Premier League.
Manchester United supporters reacted on Twitter to the reports news that Williams could move to Tyneside on loan in January – and many feel that such a move would be a good one for Williams at this point in his career.
