Leeds United and Everton are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero this summer as the Argentine remains back-up to David De Gea – and United supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Romero, 33, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Manchester United – though United do have the option of extending the 96-time Argentina international’s contract by another season.
The former AZ Alkmaar, Sampdoria and Monaco goalkeeper has been a loyal servant to United as De Gea’s back-up, clocking up just 59 appearances since his move to Old Trafford in 2015. He has kept a whopping 38 clean sheets.

ESPN have claimed that both Everton and Leeds United are interested in raiding Manchester United for Romero this summer. The report states the Toffees want to add competition to Jordan Pickford at Goodison Park.
Leeds, meanwhile, have just completed a move to make Illan Meslier’s deal permanent but it is widely expected that Spain international Kiko Casilla could leave Elland Road in the coming months.
Manchester United supporters reacted to the reported news and many are open to Romero leaving the club – although an exit is unlikely, given De Gea or Dean Henderson would hardly be willing to replace him as back-up.
