Manchester United fans react as Antoine Griezmann is linked with summer transfer

Manchester United were linked with a move for Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann during the weekend (Sport) and supporters of the Red Devils have been reacting on Twitter.

The 29-year-old could be offloaded by the Catalan giants just a year after signing for the club, due to a relatively quiet first season at the Nou Camp.

Griezmann has found the net on 14 occasions but his performances have been relatively mediocre and Barcelona could have big plans of their own for the summer transfer window.

The World Cup-winning forward won’t come cheap. Sport claim that Barca want to recoup £92 million for the player, with his £294,000-a-week wages second only to Messi at the club.

Griezmann has been linked with a move to United on several occasions in the past and their supporters are growing somewhat tired of the same links.

The consensus this time around is that if he isn’t good enough for Barcelona, then he shouldn’t be added to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s ranks either.

At 29 and given the finances on offer it would perhaps seem like madness for United to consider landing Griezmann in the summer.
