Manchester United ace raves about Arsenal talent

Manchester United and England defender Luke Shaw has raved about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka during an interview with TalkSPORT.

The left-back wasn’t utilised during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Croatia but will hope to play against Scotland on Friday.

Likewise, Saka wasn’t needed on Sunday either, although the teenager looks set for a bright future.

The Arsenal star was perhaps a surprise call-up to the England squad. He got the nod over the likes of James Ward-Prowse and Jesse Lingard.

His versatility does look ideal for tournament football though. As a result he could have a part to play at Euro 2020.

Ahead of England’s huge clash with Scotland, Shaw raved about the Gunners youngster.

He told TalkSPORT: “Bukayo is another one. He’s a very experienced head who has been a key part of Arsenal this season.

“He’s their main player performance-wise but he’s another one who is very mature and knows how to conduct himself to help the team.”

Saka made 46 appearances last season for Arsenal as the 19-year-old came of age.

He scored seven goals in all competitions and also registered 10 assists for the team.

The Hale End graduate is a vastly important part of Mikel Arteta’s team and supporters will hope that continues for the foreseeable.

Future star: Saka’s time will come for England

Saka could have a part to play in Euro 2020 but this is just the beginning for the youngster.

There will be tournaments on the horizon where the talented star is an integral part of the England team.

Someone with the amount of talent that he possesses won’t be on the fringes for long and it’ll be interesting to see where Gareth Southgate uses him.

During 2020/21 he played 22 times on the right-wing, 10 times on the left and three times as a left-back.

That showcases his versatility and that will be a massive asset for the Three Lions in the years to come.
