Henrikh Mkhitaryan is a special player

If there were any remaining doubters of the Armenian, there aren’t anymore. He was excellent on Sunday and was involved in everything that was good about Manchester United. Mkhitaryan was of course the scorer of the winning goal as he timed his run in behind the Tottenham back four to perfection and slammed the ball past Hugo Lloris. It was a chance that needed impressive composure and Mkhitaryan showed that he has it. His link up play was excellent throughout the entire match and he adds a lot of quality to the team.

It was surprising that he was out in the cold for the beginning of the season and there were fears that we would never get to see the best from him in the Premier League, but he is now grabbing his opportunity with both hands. Unfortunately, he left the field with an injury, which will have been disappointing, but hopefully it wasn’t as bad as it looked. The former Dortmund player has a huge role to play in the future of Manchester United. If they manage to get him playing alongside Anthony Martial, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a regular basis, Manchester United should really be finishing in the top four.
