Aston Villa are interested in bringing in Leicester City defender Christian Fuchs to boost their backline, according to Sky Sports.
They report that Villa want to secure a loan deal – with the option to buy – for the 2015/16 Premier League winner, who has slipped out of favour at the King Power Stadium.
But it does not look good for Dean Smith, as the Foxes have apparently turned away the swoop, because Fuchs is their only senior cover for Ben Chilwell.
And English international Chilwell is reportedly attracting interest from champions Manchester City with regards to a summer bid to replace the injury-prone Benjamin Mendy.

With Villa keen to buy Fuchs at the end of the season, the prospect of losing Chilwell to City is understandably set to worry them and links the two deals together.
Leicester will not want to lose Chilwell, but his departure could bring in a large amount of revenue for the club and Fuchs would be an able deputy.
But with Pep Guardiola’s side making Chilwell’s future uncertain, Leicester are likely to be reluctant to let Fuchs join Villa, if there is a prospect of selling him at the end of that proposed loan spell.
