Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero has today demanded that the club meet with him over the summer to discuss the Argentine’s future after recent speculation has linked him with a move away from the Etihad.

Talking about his future to Spanish radio outlet Onda Cero, the 28-year-old striker said he is desperate to hold face-to-face talks with Pep Guardiola to gain re-assurance of his importance at the club.
Speaking after his side’s FA Cup win over Huddersfield, he said:
“One thing is that the club officially says [they want me here] and another thing to tell me.”
“All I have to dedicate to is playing football. There are three months left – the only thing I think is to give the best in these three months and then you will see. My intention is to stay. The club can say what it wants, but in June they will have to meet with me.”
Aguero put in an impressive display during City’s comfortable fifth-round replay victory over Championship outfit Huddersfield on Wednesday night, scoring twice and setting up another.
The Argentine was one of many that performed well against the Terriers, but Pep Guardiola has jumped to the defence of one that has come into criticism for his match – goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
Bravo was unconvincing once again, conceding with Huddersfield’s first shot on target when midfielder Harry Bunn slipped the ball underneath the Chilean to give his side a shock early lead.
But manager Guardiola has defended his £15 million summer signing from Barcelona after Manchester City fans reacted angrily, labelling the 33-year-old’s performance as ‘amazing’.
Talking to the Manchester Evening News, the Spaniard said:
“The performance from Claudio was amazing. He helped us to make the build-up. He read what is the man free and he give us the continuity to play. I am not here to judge him.
“This year, he was named as one of the best five goalkeepers in the world. The people cannot imagine a goalkeeper is. I’m delighted and so happy that he’s with us.”
Bravo has failed to prove himself as a world-class goalkeeper since his arrival in the Premier League, being guilty of individual errors and poor decision-making during games with worrying regularity.
The Sun have reported that the Citizens have joined Liverpool in the race to sign highly-rated West Ham wonder-kid Ajibola Alese.
The 16-year-old, who is currently captain of England’s Under-16 national side, is reportedly being monitored by Manchester City with intentions of bringing him into their youth set-up.
Alese is currently on a scholarship scheme at West Ham, and it is believed that Hammers manager Slaven Bilic is contemplating promoting the teenager to the club’s Under-23 side in the next month.
