According to reports coming from major Turkish newspaper Milliyet over the past day, Manchester City have almost come to an agreement with Galatasaray for out-of-favour Brazilian midfielder Fernando.
After being left out of manager Pep Guardiola’s squad that left for the pre-season tour of America yesterday morning it’s highly expected that the 29-year-old will leave this summer.
And the report claims that, although an agreement between the clubs hasn’t officially been made yet, Galatasaray have already made a personal agreement that will see Fernando earn £1.9 million a year.
It is thought that Fernando will join up with the Turkish side on a three-year deal, with the option of another year on top of that, and that they are prepared to offer City a fee in the region of £4.5 million.
In other news, BBC Sport have reported earlier this evening that Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has successfully completed a medical at West Ham and will join them on a season-long loan.
The 30-year-old spent last season on-loan at Italian side Torino, after falling out with Guardiola during last summer, and will now spend the next year pushing for a 2018 World Cup spot at the London Stadium.
It is understood that the Citizens will help fund part of the England number one’s wages at the Hammers, with the deal also incorporating an option for West Ham to make the move permanent.
The Sun believe that the England number one could be earning up to £175,000-per-week at the London Stadium next season – with Manchester City putting £55,000 towards this salary.
Hart is now expected to join the Hammers on their pre-season tour of Austria later this week.
With one goalkeeper on his way out of the Etihad, one could potentially be on his way in as the Mirror claim that Napoli have rejected a £2.6 million bid for former Liverpool player Pepe Reina.
Despite having an initial offer snubbed by the Italian outfit, it is believed that a second attempt closer to the region of £4.5 million could persuade Napoli into allowing the 34-year-old to leave.
The Spaniard has been at the Serie A side since leaving Anfield back in 2014, and the report also suggests that his impending arrival could pave the way for Claudio Bravo to leave over the summer.
The Chilean, who joined for £14 million from Barcelona last year, struggled to impose himself in the Premier League in his debut season, eventually losing his role as number one to Willy Caballero.
