Reports in The Sun today are suggesting that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is targeting on-loan Bayern Munich midfielder Kingsley Coman as part of a summer overhaul at the Etihad Stadium.

Coman, who is currently on a long-term loan at the German side, was brought to Bayern Munich from Serie A side Juventus by Guardiola at the start last season, and now a reunion is potentially on the cards.

The report claims that Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti isn’t going to extend the 20-year-old’s current deal once it runs out, with the youngster also reluctant to return to Italy.

This opens the door for the City manager to pounce, as part of an alleged £200 million spending spree over the upcoming summer transfer window, and Guardiola could opt for the French international to add to his youthful forward line alongside Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane.

Despite playing second-string for most of the year, Coman has appeared 12 times for Munich in the Bundesliga this season, scoring twice, and appeared once during the Champions League group stage.

Another player that Manchester City have their sights set on is Ajax teenager Daishawn Redan, with the Daily Mail claiming that the youngster will not sign a professional contract at the Dutch side.

The 16-year-old has impressed during his passage through the Ajax youth system, scoring 40 plus goals in two consecutive seasons, and the report claims that Manchester City are now rivalling Chelsea and Liverpool to try and sign the hotly-rated forward on a professional deal.

Redan can play as an out-and-out striker or on the left-wing and has been at one of Holland’s most prestigious clubs since the age of eight – but he reportedly has his sights set on a move abroad.

Speaking about Redan’s future, Ajax’s youth coach Said Ouaali said:

‘We have mapped out a path for him and there is depth discussions with him and his management.

‘That there is no agreement at the last moment is extremely regrettable, obviously they have put something else on their minds.

‘We have made every effort to maintain a great talent as Daishawn for the club but at some point it stops. We wish him all the best with the rest of his career.’

The teenager has already appeared for Ajax’s Under-19 side once, as well as featuring for Holland’s Under-17 national side in a friendly match last week.

Away from transfer speculation, the Mirror has said that midfielder Kevin de Bruyne could yet be fit for Manchester City’s vital clash against Arsenal at the top of the Premier League next weekend.

The 25-year-old was forced to pull out of the Belgium squad for their World Cup qualifier against Greece and friendly against Russia after suffering a groin injury whilst away with his country.

Yet The Mirror cites that sources close to the City playmaker have said that the injury isn’t as bad as first feared, with his return from international duty believed to be more of just a precaution.

City currently sit seven points above Arsenal in the table, with ten games remaining of the current season, and face the Gunners and runaway leaders Chelsea within the space of three days.
