Manchester City are ready to make another push to sign Spurs striker Harry Kane next week, with a £127m bid reportedly being readied.

Kane and City seems to be the ongoing saga of the summer in terms of Premier League transfers. However, as yet, Daniel Levy hasn’t been willing to bow to any pressure from the City board.

Talk of money rising to as much as £150m has been mentioned in recent weeks. But City are thought to be unwilling to go to that sum in one swoop.

However, Fabrizio Romano has offered a new update on the Kane, Spurs and City situation, and claims that Pep Guardiola’s club are readying another bid of around £127m bid for the striker.

Spurs manager Nuno Santo will make a decision on Kane this weekend, in terms of playing him against City. Although the England skipper has been training alone and is fit, the Spurs boss has a big call to make come the weekend.

City, meanwhile, will continue to push and probe and will hope for some sort of breakthrough in the coming weeks.

Time for the talking to stop?

If Kane is going to leave, you get the sense a deal will start to progress over the next seven days. The key really is Spurs being able to replace their star man before August is out.

£127m is a lot of money, in fairness. And further, Romano also suggests City are willing to offer a few players as well.

There will come a point where Spurs will see something that is simply too good to turn down. If that is £127m and a player or two, then no Spurs fan will grumble.
