Manchester City are interested in signing Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney, as Pep Guardiola looks at options at left-back this summer.
Benjamin Mendy’s continued off-field problems have left City short of options down the left. Oleksandr Zinchenko has played the role regularly, while Joao Cancelo is also one of Pep’s go-to options.
However, according to The Scotsman, Guardiola is a fan of the Arsenal left-back and sees Tierney as one of the potential options he could turn to during this window. Interestingly, as we all know, City and Arsenal are in negotiations over the transfer of Gabriel Jesus. Whether that plays into any interest in Tierney, remains to be seen.

The Scottish left-back missed the back end of last season through injury but is seen as Arsenal’s main man down the left-hand side. He arrived at The Emirates in a £25m deal, and has been labelled as being a ‘special‘ talent by his manager, Mikel Arteta.
Of course, should Arsenal even consider selling Tierney to City, they’d demand a big sum. Arteta is looking to build his squad, not lose his best players, and the reality is City will probably be told a big fat no here.
TBR’s View: Tierney Would Be Brilliant At Manchester City
The thought of Kieran Tierney bombing down the left for Man City is something to salivate over for fans of the Premier League champions.
Tierney has been excellent for Arsenal and his attacking play is just as good as his defensive work at times. He’s been a real steal of a signing for the Gunners, and they won’t want to lose him.
However, Champions League football, fighting for titles, and working with Guardiola will be tempting. That is, of course, if City do actually make a move for Tierney at some stage.
