Manchester City loanee Gavin Bazunu has been praised for his impressive performances for the Republic of Ireland over the last few days.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper joined the Etihad Stadium academy from Irish club Shamrock Rovers in February 2019.
Bazunu has impressed at age level for City, though he’s yet to make his senior debut for the club.

However, he was named in their Champions League squad for the last-16 second leg against Real Madrid in August.
Later that month, Bazunu signed a new contract at the Etihad and joined League One side Rochdale on loan.
The 6ft 2in stopper has made 31 appearances for the Dale in all competitions, including 28 in the league.
Due to Darren Randolph’s injury, Stephen Kenny opted to call Bazunu up for Ireland’s World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Luxembourg, as well as their friendly with Qatar.
Although the Irish failed to impress in their last three games, losing both qualifiers and drawing against the 2022 World Cup hosts, the City loanee emerged with credit.
The Irish Post gave Bazunu 7 out of 10 against Qatar and wrote: “All eyes were on Bazunu after his extremely impressive debut against Luxembourg on Saturday.
“And while the young keeper had some rash moments, he still looked assured in goal, and we are buzzing to see more from him.”
Meanwhile, the Irish Times gave him 6 out of 10 and wrote: “For a 19-year-old he’s not afraid to stamp his authority and did so on a couple of occasions rushing out of his goal.
“The first time nearly gave away a penalty and saw him receive a booking. Couldn’t do much about the goal and made some comfortable saves.”
