'I'm losing my mind', Worth it': Some Man City fans excited by 'wonderful' Friday update
Some Manchester City fans were reacting after a report the club are closing to sealing a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
According to talkSPORT, the Citizens are close to completing a £100m transfer for the 25-year-old. The player will finalise the move after Euro 2020, where he plays for England.
Should the move go through, it will be a British transfer record, eclipsing the £85m paid for Gareth Bale back in 2013.
The Three Lions take on Germany in their round-of-16 tie on Monday as they look to make it to the quarter-finals. Grealish made his first start of the tournament in the win over the Czech Republic earlier this week.
TBR View: Manchester City mean business with Grealish move
The summer has barely started and Pep Guardiola’s side are already splashing the cash.
And there are still links with Harry Kane, who could cost upwards of £150m. But, that doesn’t seem to scare the team, who have reportedly offered a cash-plus-player deal to Tottenham.
Manchester City are showing that they mean business with their £100m move for Grealish.
It will take something sensational from the remainder of the Premier League to stop them winning the Premier League next season.
