Manchester City fans wowed by Liam Delap during 6-1 under-23 victory

Manchester City Under-23s romped to victory last night as they thrashed Leicester 6-1 in the latest Premier League 2 clash.

Liam Delap scored twice, with a brace from Felix Nmecha and goals from Ben Knight and Alexander Robertson ensuring a comfortable night.

City’s young guns are sat pretty at the top of the division and are three points clear of Tottenham having played a game less.

After the game, all the talk was about talisman Delap and the youngster looks set for a really bright future.

The 18-year-old has made a breakthrough into the first-team this season. He came on a substitute in the FA Cup, started in the Carabao Cup and has also been introduced from the bench in the Premier League.

He looks set for a really positive future at the Etihad Stadium and he’s bang in form for the under-23 ranks.

Delap has found the net 14 times in 12 appearances for Paul Harsley’s under-23 ranks and is looking the part.

He’s also claimed four assists this season, showcasing his undoubted ability to bring other players into the game too.
