Manchester City fans want Oleksandr Zinchenko to start against Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester City host Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night in a massive European showdown – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed Oleksandr Zinchenko should be starting.

Man City, who lead 2-1 on aggregate from the first leg, welcome French giants PSG to the Etihad Stadium for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Pep Guardiola’s side already lead on aggregate with two away goals in the bank, but know they are facing a PSG side that can be deadly away from home with their attacking talents.

Man City had to come from behind to win last week’s first leg, with goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez cancelling out Marquinhos’ opener.

It was a match where the English side found it difficult at times in the opening 45 minutes, but were fairly dominant in the second period where they opened up to play expansive football.

A selection of Man City supporters on social media have urged manager Pep Guardiola to start Ukranian defender Zinchenko in the Champions League showdown.

The 24-year-old left-back is not a nailed-on starter for his team, but has proven to be a great option within the squad.

His introduction from the bench against PSG appeared to give them a better balance on the pitch, and he assisted one of his side’s two away goals to inch them towards the Champions League final.
