Manchester City are reportedly battling three Premier League clubs in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this summer, as the German continues to show some resurgent form – and City fans have reacted on Twitter.
Dahoud, 25, has endured a difficult run of game time this season but has shown some better performances of late – starting four consecutive Bundesliga matches and even scoring in a 3-0 win over Bielefeld. He also started both legs against Sevilla.
The two-time Germany international scored in the first-leg 3-2 win, proving to be crucial as Dortmund gear up for a successful end to the 2020-21 campaign. However, Dahoud might be tempted with a move to England come the summer window.
The Mail say that City are keen on Dahoud, but Pep Guardiola’s side face competition from three other Premier League sides – in the form of Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Chelsea. All are said to have made enquiries over a possible move to sign Dahoud.
Man City fans reacted to the news that they could try to sign Dahoud in the next few months, though it is unclear how much Dortmund will charge for their in-form midfielder. Many City fans are all for the addition, suggesting he has “Gungogan vibes”.
