Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak this summer, as the Swedish striker’s excellent form continues in Spain – and City supporters have reacted by urging their club to land the talented striker.
City are on the lookout for a striker this summer, as Sergio Aguero struggles to prove his fitness and remains out of contract in the summer. Gabriel Jesus is good, but is certainly not a world-beating striker like Aguero. Erling Haaland is being linked.
But City may look elsewhere. The Mirror claim that 18-time Sweden international Isak has emerged as a target, after two solid seasons in Spain with Real Sociedad – the Spanish club recently knocked out of the Europa League by Manchester United.
Isak joined Sociedad in the summer of 2019 after just 13 senior Dortmund outings for £6million, but has since scored 28 goals in 74 league and cup outings. He has 12 in 30 this season for Sociedad, but all 12 have come in 20 La Liga matches.
Of those 30, he has only completed an entire match on three occasions. His tally of 12 then, is pretty good. The report claims that he is rated in the region of £60million – but Dortmund have a buyback clause worth £25million. City fans discusses his arrival..
