Douglas Luiz scored a sensational strike for Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon despite his new side suffering a 2-1 defeat to AFC Bournemouth – and Manchester City fans have reacted on Twitter.
Luiz, 21, joined Villa during the summer for a fee of £15million (BBC Sport) from Manchester City after the brazil Under-23 international impressed at Spanish La Liga side Girona during 2018-19, making 46 appearances.
Villa needed central midfielders in the summer after both Mile Jedinak and Glenn Whelan left the club on a free transfer. Villa have also brought in Marvellous Nakamba from Club Brugge, but failed to sign Leeds United ace Kalvin Phillips.

Luiz made his first start for Villa on Saturday as Premier League football returned to Villa Park for the first time since the club were relegated in 2015-16. However, it ended in defeat as Bournemouth held on to a 2-1 victory.
Early goals from Josh King and Harry Wilson saw Bournemouth take an early lead, before Villa grew into the game. Luiz scored a cracker from 25 yards out, hitting the bar as it flew past Aaron Ramsdale.
Manchester City fans caught wind of their former midfielder scoring a sensational goal for new club Villa. and many praised the Brazilian pass master – while others are hopeful that Pep Guardiola brings him back to the Etihad at some point in the future.
