Tottenham have been linked with Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus – and some Man City supporters on Twitter have responded by claiming they don’t want to lose him.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week that Spurs have identified 24-year-old striker Jesus as someone they may target this summer.
It is explained that the north London club could look to try sign him in a part-exchange deal involving Harry Kane, as the latter is being heavily linked with a potential exit.
The report explains that 27-year-old Spurs frontman Kane is attracting interest from Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea after informing his club he wants to leave.
Jesus, who cost Man City £27million (Sky Sports), is viewed as someone Spurs could try bring in if they lose their talisman.
If it’s possible, keeping Kane should be a priority. However, sounding out potential replacements with Premier League experience makes sense.
It is perhaps an indication of his quality that a selection of Man City supporters on social media have reacted negatively to the Spurs links with Jesus.
The Brazilian attacker doesn’t always start due to Pep Guardiola’s rotation policy and is probably not in the best XI right now, but the speedster has shown he can perform with his individual ability in the Premier League.
