Everton’s Mason Holgate is reportedly wanted by Manchester City – and some of their fans on Twitter have reacted positively to the speculation and would like to see him join them at the Etihad Stadium.
According to the Mirror, Man City are interested in a £30million raid for the English defender at the end of the season.
It is understood they could try offer ex-Toffees star John Stones as part of a deal too.
The report adds that Everton are trying to keep hold off Holgate for the long-term and want to hand him an improved contract following his impressive displays this season.
Holgate, 23, has been on the books at Goodison Park since 2015 and a loan at West Brom last season has slow him to kick on this campaign at Everton.
The centre-back has taken his game up a level since the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as manager mid-season and is an important first-team player at the moment with a real calmness at the back.

A selection of Man City supporters on social media are convinced that Everton’s Holgate could be a good fit for them next season.
They have had problems in the heart of defence this campaign, as Fernandinho has often filled in as a make-shift centre-back and Aymeric Laporte has had injury problems.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Otamendi and Stones have struggled with inconsistent form at times.
