Some Manchester City fans were reacting to the report Phil Foden is set to be handed a new contract.
According to Manchester Evening News, the England international is set to be given a six-year deal.
Talks over a new contract were reportedly delayed after the death of Foden’s agent, Richard Green, due to COVID-19.
And he was away with England at Euro 2020, where he starred and helped the side reach the final.
However, the attacker was ruled out of the showpiece after picking up a foot injury.
It has kept the 21-year-old out for pre-season and the opening three Premier League games of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the City ace, alongside Kevin de Bruyne are set to return to training ahead of Saturday’s clash versus Leicester.
Manchester Evening News have also claimed the duo could feature on the bench against the Foxes.

Foden needs to be given a central role at Manchester City after new contract
When building a team, you always imaging having a player like Foden as the central figure.
The £40k-per-week Stockport youngster has taken his game from strength to strength since he burst on the scene under Guardiola.
His start in the Champions League final is the biggest testament to how crucial he has become under the Spaniard. And not only did he feature from the beginning, but, with City chasing a winner, he completed the winner.
It’s crazy to imagine Guardiola has mountains of trust in a player who is just 21-years-old.
But, this should be just the start.
Moving forward, Foden should be the central figure at Manchester City amid his new contract.
His quality coupled with the fact he’s a boyhood fan of the club makes him the perfect figure for the club.
Here is how fans reacted to the news…

Keeping this lad at the club has to be City’s number one priority for at least the next 6-7 years, genuinely has the potential to be the English GOAT and I’ll die on that hill https://t.co/KXbDFDPMcd
