Manchester City picked up three points against Everton after a hard-fought contest at Goodison Park.
The pressure was on for Pep Guardiola’s side after Liverpool had beaten Sheffield United 1-0 earlier in the day with a bit of good fortune.

City took the lead through Gabriel Jesus but an equaliser from Dominic Calvert-Lewin meant the Premier League champions had to dig deep.
Riyad Mahrez’ free-kick saw the visitors retake the lead, before Raheem Sterling put the game to bed in the dying embers.
It was an uncomfortable afternoon for the Citizens, who will just be thankful for the three points.
One man who struggled a fair bit at Goodison was Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is now under some pressure at City with Benjamin Mendy back fit again.

The Ukraine international was run ragged, particularly in the second half by Richarlison, and looked very shaky and rash at times.
With new signing Angelino another option for Guardiola, Zinchenko really needed a solid showing. He didn’t produce once, and and his starting prospects could now be in jeopardy.
City fans react
