Manchester City fans react to Liam Delap performance after 7-1 win for Under-23 outfit

Manchester City’s under-23 outfit were rampant once again as they thrashed Southampton 7-1. Liam Delap was once again the hero of the hour with a stunning hat-trick – and supporters reacted on Twitter.

The Citizens are top of the league and this was frankly a performance that showcased the champions elect. The Saints young guns had very little to offer in response to a devastating performance.

Delap is proving to be a bit of a goal machine at the Etihad Stadium. He has now found the net 19 times for the under-23s in just 14 appearances and stardom looks to beckon.

The 18-year-old made his Premier League debut earlier this season and the future looks extremely bright for the uncompromising talisman.

City completed the rout through Delap’s hat-trick, two for Felix Nmecha, Adrian Bernabe and Callum Doyle.
