Manchester City fans react to Fernandinho display against Arsenal

Manchester City secured another victory at the Emirates Stadium as they defeated Arsenal 1-0. Afterwards, the returning Fernandinho came in for some praise from supporters.

The Citizens have now won 13 Premier League matches in succession and look to be heading to yet another league title.

Fernandinho has started just six games this season after picking up a number of niggling injury problems.

On the evidence of this evening’s showing, however, he is still very much an integral member of Pep Guardiola’s impressive side.

City are formidable in this form and the pressure is now on second-placed Manchester United in their game against Newcastle later on.

Raheem Sterling’s early goal proved decisive but it was the midfield drive of Fernandinho which impressed the Citizens faithful.

The £150,000-a-week performer has been with City since arriving from Shakhtar in 2013.

He has made 335 appearances for City, winning three Premier League titles in the process.

On current form, he will collect a fourth winners medal at the end of the current campaign and Guardiola will hope he can stay fit.
