Manchester City fans have reacted to a report that Real Sociedad winger Mikel Oyarzbal has emerged as the club’s top target to replace Leroy Sane.
According to TEAMtalk, manager Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of the Spanish 22-year-old, who has hit 42 goals and made 26 assists in 160 appearances for the club.

It is thought Oyarzabal has the capacity to replace Sane, who continues to be linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
The injured winger – who is on course to return to action in December – is valued at £100 million by City.
Should they cash in for around that figure, TEAMtalk claim the club will then pay Oyarzabal’s £70 million release clause.
Oyarzabal is in good form this season having scored four and assisted three in nine appearances.

The links to him as a possible Sane replacement are interesting, with the Basque forward a very different kind of player to the German.
Oyarzabal is a technician similar to Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez, rather than a tradition flying winger like Sane.
City fans react
A large section of City fans on social media were somewhat concerned about the links to Oyarzabal, with the blisteringly quick Sane a big favourite at the Etihad Stadium:
