Fabian Delph is the latest name to be linked with a move to Leeds United, in a deal that would see the Manchester City star return to Elland Road for a third spell – and Manchester City fans are desperate to see him go.
The Sun claim Leeds have shown an ‘initial interest’ in 29-year-old midfielder Delph, but the fact the Whites failed to gain promotion from the Championship after a play-off loss to Derby means a move is unlikely.
That is because, as a second-tier club, they are unlikely to be able to afford Delph’s £80,000-a-week wages as well as his £15million asking price. But Leeds are said to be interested in the England 2018 World Cup star.

Delph has played 58 times for Leeds in all competitions. He broke into the side when they were in League One, before leaving in 2009 to join Aston Villa. He returned to Leeds on loan in 2012.
Now, if owner Andrea Radrizzani is willing to blow away his current Elland Road wage structure, Delph could return for a third spell but the chances of that happening look particularly unlikely.
Manchester City fans reacted to the news that Delph could leave the club this summer with Leeds possibly luring the left footer back to Yorkshire, and many are desperate to see him leave given his contract ends in 2020.
